About

I am a political scientist at Bielefeld University. I research environmental knowledge politics across scales.

I am currently an assistant professor (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) at the working group Political Sociology, University Bielefeld.

I obtained my PhD in International Relations at the Freie Universität Berlin. I have researched and taught at Cornell University, UFZ Leipzig, the Centre for Global Cooperation Research Duisburg as well as the University of Potsdam.

My work is concerned with global environmental politics. Empirically, I have studied private certification initiatives, global expert organizations such as the IPCC and the IPBES, and environmental (youth) movements. Theoretically, I work on the intersection of IR, political sociology, and Science and Technology Studies. I have advanced discussions of concepts such as knowledge and expertise in IR, private and epistemic authority, translation and objects.
